Danny Lichtenfeld lives in Putney, where he pitches and plays third base for the Putney Fossils of the Connecticut River Valley Baseball League. He is also a member of the Whately Pioneers of the New England Vintage Base Ball League. Despite an inauspicious Little League debut at age five – he walked the first four batters without throwing a single strike then ran off the field crying –
Danny has played organized baseball nearly every summer since. An ardent New York Mets fan, Danny was at Shea Stadium for the infamous Bill Buckner incident in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series between the Mets and Red Sox. When he is not playing baseball, coaching his son’s team, watching baseball games or movies, or reading baseball books, Danny works as Director of the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center.
