An Evening of Celtic and Americana Music by Cantrip and Low Lily

A timely reminder from Barry Stockwell . . .
Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present a Celtic and Americana music twin bill featuring high energy Scottish music by Cantrip, and American folk music with traditional influences and modern inspiration by Low Lily, at Next Stage on cant-loSaturday, April 23 at 7:30 pm.  Cantrip (Dan Houghton – bagpipes, flute, whistles, guitar, vocals; Jon Bews – fiddle, vocals; Eric McDonald – guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, vocals) “must have one of the strongest group personalities on the folk circuit.  Their presentation is all energy as they channel modern swoops & slides of sound into the traditional repertoire. Their music comes from wild landscapes & wild places of the spirit.” – The Orcadian.  Low Lily (Liz Simmons – vocals, guitar; Flynn Cohen – vocals, guitar, mandolin; Lissa Schneckenburger – vocals, fiddle) “has an incredible knack for putting a little pop twist on a traditional folk/Americana sound… it’s a blend that works beautifully.” – PopMatters

Tickets are $20.  Advance tickets are available at Turn It Up in Brattleboro and Putney Food Co-Op in Putney.  For more information, call 802-387-0102 or visit www.cantrip-music.com, www.lowlily.com,and www.twilightmusic.org
