A company with performances integrating dance, theater, acrobatics, and weaves story and song into colorful threads that connect every heart and bring about awareness of water in our world. All dances are performed and choreographed by Molly Gawler. The music is of our local New England folk traditions with fiddle and song by Lissa Schneckenburger. Stories are interwoven throughout the show by Nettie Lu Lane. The ”Cyr Wheel” is the vehicle for droplet dance, with the flow of the natural movement of spirals and gravity seems to embody the very spirit of water itself.
Traveling the world, Molly began to notice a universal truth. The message returned over and over- water is so precious. And so, the pull to clean water came as a kind of life’s purpose. Molly asked herself, “what can I do to make the world more beautiful?” And the answer came – “do what I can do – dance!” The stage can a place of great awareness, and so an idea was born: Make dances for water! So we bring you Droplet Dance, cultivating the celebration and awareness of water through dance.
